RED WINES
Sardinia has a great reputation for its Sardinian red wines, the most famous of which is certainly Cannonau di Sardegna. In the category of indigenous Sardinian red grape varieties, other varieties stand out that are just as interesting as they are sought after: in addition to Cannonau, the Carignano del Sulcis, a vine resistant to the sea breeze that gives a ruby red, fruity wine, the Bovale, the Monica di Sardegna and the Cagnulari are also worth mentioning. These are ancient but characteristic vines that find their marriage with typical Sardinian products, such as Sardinian salami and typical sheep and goat cheeses, which are part of the gastronomic compendium of this island.
