Description
The much-vaunted goodness and characteristic taste of such a unique cheese has been selected by Janas, after a long study, and enclosed in this precious jar. The taste is the same – but without the larvae – pungent and fragrant, ideal to be spread on carasau bread and enjoyed in its simplicity. The casu marzu is a culinary “case”, it is produced at a strictly artisan or even family level in Sardinia and cannot be “exported” elsewhere because of its peculiar characteristic: the creaminess of its paste is due to the presence of the cheese fly that, inside, lays its larvae.
